8.6-second buzzkar, a rasenghorerai performer, wants a Hummer!　Report on the premiere screening of "Initial D" Chapter 2

The premiere screening of the animated film "Initial D Legend 2" was held on May 18, 2012.

Initial D" is an anime film based on the popular manga (author: Shuichi Shigeno), which was serialized in Weekly Young Magazine from 1995 to 2013 and has sold 48.6 million copies in its 48 volumes. The main character, who has the mark of a "young leaf," drives his father's old Hachi Roku (AE86 Sprinter Treno), which is owned by his father who runs a tofu shop, and engages in heated public road battles with other drivers from all over the country with his amazing drift driving skills... The story is told in 4 TV series + 1 movie version + several OVAs from 1998 to 2012. The story is based on a series of four TV series, one film version, and several OVAs produced between 1998 and 2012, and was a huge hit. The new film version is produced by Sanzigen and Raidenfilm, which are known for their CG production techniques, and all the sounds of the cars in the film are reproduced by professional racing drivers. The premiere screening was held on May 18 at Space FS Shiodome. Comedy duo 8.6 Seconds Buzzcur, who are currently enjoying their big break with their "rassungorerai" routine, also attended the event, and the two, dressed in black and white to match the panda color of the AE86's body, wowed the audience with a new routine that only Initial D can deliver. Hamayanen played the role of L (Lassun), a man in the gallery watching the battle, and Single Tanaka played the role of G (Gorelai), a man in the gallery. Here is the report.

Tanaka: I only had about two words each, but I was nervous. My father loves Initial D very much. I tried my best to do my best without laughing.
Hama: The director didn't seem to think my voice was what he wanted, so I had to redo it about 30 times. I was soaked in sweat while doing it! I have always loved the Initial D game, so it was a real honor to be able to voice-act.
--How do you feel now that you are wearing the special black-and-white outfit of the AE86 panda-colored version?
Tanaka: I like the "Fujiwara Tofu Store" logo on the shirt.
--It is no exaggeration to say that you are the fastest comedian in history to participate in voice acting after making your debut.
Tanaka: (Hamayanen) You have always said you wanted to be an actor.
Hama: Well, I guess I am an actor.... But you probably don't know this, but I had liposuction at the young age of 24!
Tanaka: I'm telling you, liposuction doesn't make your blood sludgy!
Hama: What! Is that so!
--Do you have a license?　If you had a day off and felt like going somewhere by car, what would you do? Where would you like to go?
Tanaka: Iroha slope, I guess.　First of all, I want a cool car.
Hama: I'd like an AE86 in red and black (the same colors as the outfit of the 8.6-second Bazooka) or something like that!
--Do you drive when you go for a drive?
Hama: I drink alcohol, so I want myself to drive there and back! It's a pattern that makes me gain weight completely.
--Hama: Have you ever been on a date for a drive?
Tanaka: Of course I have!　I drive very slowly, though.
--Hama: Is there a car you are interested in these days?
Hama: I want to buy a Hummer, which my senpai often drives.
Tanaka: You're on a roll with the Hummer in your second year in the business!
--Hama: What are the highlights?
Tanaka: I want you to see the drifting scene, which is shot from an angle.
Hama: I think it's the drifting scene that I can't do myself. I want to see it live too.
--Which is more difficult, comedy or voice acting?
Tanaka: I don't usually do acting-style comedy, so acting was difficult. I thought it would be better than usual because I could only see my voice and not my figure, but I was really nervous.
Hama: I'm not good at either of them. lol But when I got the OK for this postrecording, I was so excited.
--Who would you like to see this work most?
Tanaka: My father is a big fan of Initial D, so I guess my father. But I haven't told him yet!　He will definitely watch the film, so I will tell him when the time comes.
--I heard that you wanted to be an actor!
Tanaka: I heard he (Hamayanen) went for a facial correction yesterday!　He said, "What's the point of making my face smaller if I'm fat? What's the point of making your face smaller if you're fat?
