Ryubei Ueshima of Dacho, angry at the fact that he had "two minutes of actual work," performed a kissing trick! Report on the completion of the stage greeting for the animated film "Tensai Bakavon".

The completion announcement of the animation film "Tensai Bakavon - A Dog of Flanders Reborn," which will be released on May 23, was held on May 14.

Tensai Bakavon: Dog of Flanders" is the first feature film of "Tensai Bakavon," produced to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Fujio Akatsuka's birth. FROGMAN of "The Secret Society Taka no Tsume" fame directs and writes the screenplay for the film, which brings together two anime classics, "Tensai Bakavon" and "A Dog of Flanders," in a battle. Production will be by DLE, with participation by FUJIO PRO, PIERO, and Nippon Animation as production collaborators. The story starts from the last scene of "A Dog of Flanders," which moved the whole country. However, Nero and Patrush shake off the hands of the angels and come back to the present day as pawns of evil, becoming demons of vengeance against those who have mistreated them and repeating their evil deeds. The Bakabon family then challenges them with their stupidity. The film is also attracting attention for its splendid cast: Miori Takimoto, Inuko Inuyama, Ryubei Ueshima of the Ostrich Club, Kunio Murai, Mitsuo Iwata, and FROGMAN's beloved dog.

The completion announcement stage greeting was held at Shinjuku Wald 9, attended by director FROGMAN and other cast members including Miori Takimoto, Inuko Inuyama, Ryubei Ueshima (from the Ostrich Club), and Kunio Murai. In addition, Ken Yokoyama of Crazy Ken Band came to the event to announce the theme song artist, and the event was a great success. Here is the report.

MC: First of all, I would like to ask each of you how you feel about the completion of the film today.
FRGOMAN: I am glad it is completed!
Inuyama: My name is Inuyama, and I play the role of Bakabon. I am happy to be able to act in this wonderful movie.
Takimoto: I am Miori Takimoto, who plays the role of Nero. I got to see the movie first, and it was fun and interesting. Please enjoy it with a bowl of popcorn in your hand.
Ueshima: Konnichiwa. I'm Ueshima, playing the role of Lele's uncle, with 2 minutes of actual work (laughs). It turned out to be an interesting movie!
Murai: I play the role of Dante, with an austere voice.

MC: Why did you decide to make a film combining the Bakabon family and A Dog of Flanders?
FROGMAN: Actually, this year is the 80th anniversary of Fujio Akatsuka's birth. I thought, "Let's do it! I thought, "Let's do it! But I wanted to make something that would make people gasp in surprise, not a long TV version. I also thought about how Akatsuka would have done it. That's when "A Dog of Flanders" came to mind. Actually, a simple synopsis was created in about two days.

MC: What did the actors and actresses think when they first saw the project and script for this film?
Inuyama: I think the world thought it was a joke. To have a project like this come through and be completed...Japan is wonderful!
Takimoto: In my mind, "A Dog of Flanders" was a beautiful story that was complete. Now it's a story about revenge... (laughs). I thought only FROGMAN could do such a thing.
UESHIMA: I read the whole script, even though it was only 2 minutes of actual work! I liked the speedy mawaii.
Murai: "Who came up with this stupid story?" I thought. But when I finished it, I think we created something interesting.

MC: It was such a unique project, how did you feel when you actually saw the film?
Inuyama: I thought, "How unprecedented! But there are some touching scenes. I think it's perfect for a date!
Takimoto: I am often told that I look just like Nero. And it's not the voice, but the face. Is a live-action version coming next? (Laughs)
Ueshima: Nero and Bakabon were great! And Dante, of course. Who was the daddy? Eh? The director? That's right - of course he was great!
Murai: The director had the best role (Bakabon no Papa). He took the best part. (while looking at Ueshima-san)
Ueshima: That's right! I've been working here for two minutes, but you've got to be kidding!
→(He presses the director and the director replies, finally kissing him.
Director: Your lips are so soft. (Laughs)

MC: Now, we have a special guest today! He is Ken Yokoyama of Crazy Ken Band, who sings the theme song of this movie!
Yokoyama: Hello!

MC: How did you go about writing the theme song for the Bakabon movie?
Yokoyama: The director directly asked me to write it.

MC: What did you think of the movie?
Yokoyama: There were many touching scenes one after another. At the end, you can feel warmth. There are things that the times have forgotten. It is not an oldie, but an active one.

MC: Director, can you tell us what you thought when you heard the completed theme song?
FRGOMAN: The theme song "Papa no Komoriuta (Papa's Lullaby)" is really good. The Bakabon series is full of great songs that everyone can sing, but now there are more. I thought the movie was complete when I heard this song.

MC: Last but not least, please say a few words to everyone.
Inuyama: I have to watch it one more time! I thought. It is so rich in content. If you can't watch it all, please try two or three times.
Takimoto: Let's all watch this film and become fools!
Yokoyama: It depicts human imperfection, and that's why it's cute. That's what I found so touching.
Bakabon: Anyway, everyone should watch it!
Ueshima: I watched this film twice, even though it was only 2 minutes long. I did the world's fastest "refill Bakabon. It's the best!
Murai: My generation was influenced by Akatsuka's way of life. I want to die saying, "This is what I want. I am glad to see such an Akatsuka spirit in this film.
Director: Actually, my father passed away right after the announcement of the production. I was the youngest of seven siblings, all boys, and it is really hard to raise seven children. My father was an idiot. But he raised me until I became an adult. I am very glad that my father was an idiot.
