From "Cyborg 009," it was announced that the new anime in production will be screened as an event in theaters starting this fall.
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of "Cyborg 009," a masterpiece that has been unfinished for a long time since its serialization began in Weekly Shonen King on July 19, 1964, was completed in 2014 as a novel and comic based on the concept note left by Shotaro Ishinomori, The announcement of the release of a new anime work in 2015 has been attracting attention. The director of the new work is Jun Kawagoe, who directed "Cyborg 009 THE CYBORG SOLDIER" broadcast as a TV series in 2001. Other than the director, the staff and cast have not yet been announced.
The new anime will be shown as an event in theaters starting this fall. This will be the first theatrical work since the full CG anime "009 RE: CYBORG" released in 2012. The poster visual will be displayed at Shinjuku Wald 9, Yokohama Burg 13, T-Joy Kyoto, Umeda Burg 7, Hiroshima Wald 11, T-Joy Hakata, and T-Joy Niigata Bandai from May 23.
