Three motherboard models with onboard USB 3.1 ports are available from ASUS!

Three ATX motherboard models with onboard USB 3.1 ports are now available from ASUS.

The lineup consists of three models: the X99 PRO/USB 3.1 mid-range model with X99, the Z97-DELUXE/USB 3.1 high-end model with Z97, and the Z97-A/USB 3.1 mid-range model with Z97.

All feature onboard USB 3.1 ports, with two USB 3.1 (Type-A) ports in the rear panel section. In addition, ASUS' proprietary USB 3.1 Boost acceleration software improves the performance by up to 10% over regular USB 3.1 ports.

The main specifications of the X99-PRO/USB 3.1 are as follows: The compatible CPU socket is theproprietaryX Series OC Socket (LGA2011-v3 compatible)with enhanced overclocking resistance. Expansion slots are 3 x PCI Express 3.0 x16, 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16, and 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x1, and memory is 8 x DDR4 DIMMs (up to 64GB). Other features include SATA 6Gbps x 10, SATA Express x 1, M.2 (Type 22110) x 2, Gigabit LAN, 8-channel sound, USB 3.1 x 2, USB 3.0 x 8, USB 2.0 x 8, wireless LAN (IEEE802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.0, etc.

The main specifications of the Z97-DELUXE/USB 3.1 are as follows: the supported CPU socket is LGA1150; expansion slots are 2 x PCI Express 3.0 x16, 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16, and 4 x PCI Express 2.0 x1; memory is 4 x DDR3 DIMMs (maximum 32GB) Memory is DDR3 DIMMs x 4 (up to 32GB).
