Chichibu Denki plans to operate only by mail order from May 25. In addition, the company building and its famous "Oden Can" vending machine will remain in operation. Oden cans will continue to be sold.


Chichibu Denki was founded before World War II and moved to Akihabara in 1950, and is known not only as a specialty store that handles Toshiba PC peripherals and repair parts such as Libretto and DynaBook, but also as an early originator of the "Oden can" that has become famous as an Akiba specialty.
