Once again, Ryubei Ueshima of Dacho burst into the kissing game!　Report on the Greetings from the Stage of the Animated Film "Tensai Bakavon

A report on the opening day greetings held on May 23 from the animated film "Tensai Bakavon: The Dog of Flanders Reborn" has arrived.

Tensai Bakavon: A Dog of Flanders" is the first feature-length "Tensai Bakavon" film produced to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Fujio Akatsuka's birth. FROGMAN of "The Secret Society Hawk's Nail" fame directs and writes the screenplay for the film, which brings together two anime classics, "Tensai Bakavon" and "A Dog of Flanders," in a battle. Production will be by DLE, with participation by FUJIO PRO, PIERO, and Nippon Animation as production collaborators. The story starts from the last scene of "A Dog of Flanders," which moved the whole country. However, Nero and Patrush shake off the hands of the angels and come back to the present day as pawns of evil, becoming demons of vengeance against those who have mistreated them and repeating their evil deeds. The Bakabon family then challenges them with their stupidity. The film is also attracting attention for its splendid cast: Miori Takimoto, Inuko Inuyama, Ryubei Ueshima of the Ostrich Club, Kunio Murai, Mitsuo Iwata, and FROGMAN's beloved dog.

The opening greeting was held at Shinjuku Wald 9 on May 23, the first day of the film's release, and was attended by FROGMAN, who starred in and directed the film, as well as Miori Takimoto, Gaku Hamada, Inuko Inuyama, Ryubei Ueshima (of the Ostrich Club), and Kunio Murai, all of whom are voice actors. The venue was packed and filled with overwhelming enthusiasm and cheering. The following is the report.

MC: First of all, I would like to ask each of you how you felt on the opening day of "Tensai Bakavon: A Dog of Flanders Reborn". We would be very happy if we could ask you to speak in the voice of your role!

FROGMAN: Konnichiwa. It's not my dad, it's FROGMAN. There are many guests here today, and it's very different from the "Hawk's Nail". Thank you all.
Inuyama: I'm Inuko Inuyama, who played the role of BAKABON. Pa-pa, so many guests came today. (Everyone told me that my voice sounded the same as usual).
Takimoto: I am Miori Takimoto, who played the role of Nero. Where are we? The Apple Store after closing? You must be tired, Patrush...
Hamada: It's the voice of the role, isn't it? My voice is pretty bouncy... (trying to do it) I can't do it (laughs).
Ueshima: Are you all going to the cinema today~? Lele lele lele~. Do you all remember that you were in the movie properly? I'm Ueshima, the guy who played the uncle in Lele Lele!
Murai: I still can't remember what voice I did unless I was on the set, but I played Dante with an austere voice, I'm Kunio Murai.

MC: Ladies and gentlemen, if you could live with any member of the Bakabon family, who would you prefer among Papa, Bakabon, Mama, and Hajime?

FRGOMAN: I think Hajime. She is smart and seems to help me in my old age the most.
INUYAMA: It's mama. I want her to say "Welcome home" when I come home.
Takimoto: I want to follow my dad. I don't care if he messes me up (laughs). (laughs) Isn't the dad in this movie cool?
Hamada: I like the mom. She's beautiful and patient. I like the mom (laughs).
Ueshima: I think it's the mom. I want to do many things with my mom. As Gaku said, she's also very patient (laughs). By the way, I am a dominatrix (laughs).
Murai: I'd like to have a mama too. She is beautiful. By the way, I'm a dominatrix too (laughs).

MC: This film is full of stupidity, and we would like to ask you about your "stupid things you have done recently.

FROGMAN: When I was a young film crew member, I was driving through the Fuji Self-Defense Forces training ground in the middle of the night in total darkness.... The moment I fell asleep because it was dark, I fell off somewhere and the car went vertical. Three staff members took it out, and miraculously the body was intact, but the belly of the car was scaly and damaged.... A month after we returned the car without saying anything, the rental car agency called us (laughs).
Inuyama: You were preparing to eat a cup of ramen by pouring hot water into the car, but you put the ramen on a tray on the sofa to clean up your desk, didn't you? You went on to do something else, and when you came back to sit on the sofa, you sat on the cup ramen... I felt like an idiot (laughs). I felt like an idiot (laughs).
Takimoto: I was listening to music with earphones, and after I took them off, the rubber part (cover) of the earphones still seemed to be in my ears, so I was surprised when it came out (laughs).
Hamada: I was born and raised in Tokyo, but when I was in the first year of junior high school, I went to visit Shimane, where Director FRGOMAN lived, and when I was taking a bath, a frog came out and I was so scared that I walked out with my full cock even though his wife was there. That was my first naked game, my (laughter).
FRGOMAN: I wondered how big it was, but it was a small rain frog, about 2 cm, which I think was a tadpole until a while ago (laughs).

Hamada: During the photo session, I was in the middle of the front row the whole time, but Ueshima-san was next to me saying "mmm...mmm..." the whole time, and now I am out of breath beside him (laughs)!

FRGOMAN: I wanted to ask these people to be the voice actors for "Tensai Bakavon," so I chose them and made the offer myself.
Mr. Murai, who played Dante, was quite a reluctant villain, but his collapse at the end was brilliant and wonderful.
Mr. Ueshima, too, did somewhat of a good job (laughs).
(Mr. Ueshima, angered by this comment, packed up the director and kissed him for the 1st time.)
Gaku, you laugh too much! That's your role today, isn't it?
(That's right! (Ueshima-san and Hamada-san, angry at this comment, pressed the director for a second kiss).
Gaku was the lead in a film called "The White Ship," which was set in Shimane, and you worked with him in that production. Nowadays, Kintaro (Kanetaro) is as famous as Gaku Hamada, but I was happy to work with him for the first time in over a decade.
Ms. Takimoto is from the San-in region of Japan, and I had always been interested in her. Also, "The Wind Rises" was so good that I offered her the role of Nero because I thought she was the only choice to play Nero, so I was happy when she accepted.
For the voice of Bakabon, I auditioned dozens of people but couldn't find the right one, and the last one to appear was the boss character, Mr. Inuyama. It was perfect. Fujio Akatsuka's daughter also praised me many times, saying, "Bakabon is cute.
