Summer anime "Ushio-Tora"; Muscle Shoujo Band sings OP theme song! Kenji Ootsuki: "It's finally here! I'm honored."

Broadcasting of the TV anime "Ushio-Tora" is scheduled to start in July. The theme song information was also announced.


Ushio-Tora" is an anime work based on the famous manga by Kazuhiro Fujita, which was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1990 to 1996. This is the first TV anime adaptation of the battle story about a boy, Sougetsu Ushio, and a former great monster, Tora, as they try to exterminate ghosts. Directed by Satoshi Nishimura of "TRIGUN" and "The First Step" fame, series composition by Toshiki Inoue of "DEATH NOTE" and "Devil May Cry" fame, and character design by Tomoko Mori of "GARO" (guest character design). Animation production will be handled by MAPPA studio VOLN.

The broadcast start date has been set for July. The theme song information was also announced. The opening theme song will be sung by Muscle Shoujo Band, which the original author, Kazuhiro Fujita, used to listen to while writing the series. The title of the song is "Don't mix it up, it's dangerous" and is reminiscent of the relationship between Ushio and Tora. The jacket of the regular edition was drawn by Mr. Fujita, and Kenji Ootsuki, vocalist of Muscle Shoujo Belt, said, "I had heard that Mr. Fujita has been listening to Muscle Shoujo Belt for a long time, so I thought it was finally here! I am honored. The CD will be released on August 5.


It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX from 10:30 p.m. on July 3, Sun TV from 24:00 on July 6, KBS Kyoto from 25:30 on July 6, TV Aichi from 26:35 on July 6, and BS Fuji from 24:25 on July 7.
