Yamato 2199, "Hoshi-Touru Ark" BD First Press Limited Edition tops Oricon's overall ranking!　First in the series

The limited first edition BD of the anime film "Space Battleship Yamato 2199: Ark of the Stars," released on May 27, will top the Oricon Weekly BD Ranking on June 8.

It sold 18,000 copies in its first week of release. This is the first time for the "Space Battleship Yamato 2199" series to top the overall BD ranking, surpassing the second place overall recorded by the seventh volume (released in October 2013) and others. Incidentally, the BD regular edition, released at the same time, ranked seventh, and the DVD version ranked third.

Space Battleship Yamato 2199: Ark of the Stars" was released in 89 theaters nationwide on December 6, 2014 as a completely new version of the hit "Space Battleship Yamato 2199," which was produced by a new staff based on the first TV series in 2012. The BD limited edition includes a bonus disc with special programs, event footage, scenes from the recording of the film, and a new picture drama.
