Brass band coming-of-age mystery "Haruchika" to be animated in 2016!　Character draft: Namaniku ATK (Nitroplus)

An anime adaptation of "Haruchika" has been decided. It will be broadcast or released by the end of 2016 as "Haruchika: Haruta to Chika wa Seishun suru.

Haruchika" is a series of short mystery novels written by Haru Hatsuno. It is a school mystery in which a childhood friend duo, flute player Chinatsu Homura and horn player Shunta Kamijo, who belong to a brass band on the verge of being discontinued, solve incidents that occur within the school, and it is also a coming-of-age story that depicts the pair's goal of competing in a national competition.

The staff of the anime version includes Masakazu Hashimoto, director of "TARI TARI," series composition by Reiko Yoshida of "K-ON! The character design is by Namaniku ATK (Nitroplus) of "Armored Demon Muramasa" and "Chaika the Coffin Princess," and the character design is by Asako Nishida of "Love Live! Character design is by Asako Nishida of "Love Live! P.A.WORKS will produce the animation.

The original author commented on the anime adaptation, "With the support of many readers and staff, this will be the first video adaptation of my work. Since the story deals with high school life and a brass band as a means of expressing a mystery, there are many parts that I was forced to omit due to the progress of the story, and I would like to entrust to the anime what I was unable to accomplish in print. I would like to entrust to the anime what I could not accomplish in print," he commented.

Chinatsu (Chika) and Shunta (Hartha) Homura and Kamijo are childhood friends who are aiming for the "Fumonkan," a brass band competition at a weak brass band club on the verge of closure. Their days are lively as they work hard at practice and feverishly try to recruit new members, but various mysteries come up and ......... The popular coming-of-age mystery by Haru Hatsuno will be adapted into an anime in 2016 with a splendid staff!
