Seiyuu unit "Wake Up, Girls!" to launch its first terrestrial television program in July! Growth-supporting variety show "Waguban!

Wake Up, Girls!" has announced that the voice-over unit's first program will be broadcast on terrestrial television.


Wake Up, Girls!" is an original anime directed by Hiroshi Yamamoto (director of the TV anime "Lucky Star"), written and composed by Doko Waita, and featuring music by Satoru Kanzen (MONACA). The TV broadcast and theatrical release started simultaneously in January 2014 and attracted a lot of attention. A new theater version, "Wake Up, Girls! Sequel Theater Version," will be released in September/December 2015 as a two-part series.

This time, the first program featuring the voice acting unit "Wake Up, Girls!" consisting of seven main cast members (Maasuke Yoshioka, Airi Nagano, Mimi Tanaka, Yoshinoh Aoyama, Nanami Yamashita, Kaya Okuno, and Misuke Takagi) will be broadcast on terrestrial wave. The program will be called "Waguban! and will be a growth-supporting variety program featuring the seven members as they take on a variety of projects. The first broadcast will feature the "Wake Up, Girls! x Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles Collaboration Night" held on May 19 at Sendai Rakuten Kobo Stadium, as well as behind-the-scenes footage. The program will be broadcast on Tuesdays from 26:35 on TV Tokyo starting July 14, and on Fridays from 18:30 on AT-X starting July 17.


In addition, the BD package illustration of the spin-off anime "Woeku Up Garu ZOO!", which will be released on July 31, shows the Wake Up, Girls! The bonus video is a location footage at the zoo by Wake Up, Girls!
