Original animated film "Typhoon Norda" to hold events for three consecutive weeks!　The first event is a talk event with director Yojiro Arai and musician Masashi Hamauzu

The animation film "Typhoon Norda," which will be released in theaters on June 5, has announced that it will hold events for three consecutive weeks.

Typhoon Norda" is the latest original animation film by Studio Colorido (established in 2011), a production company that brings together young creators mainly in their 20s, including 26-year-old Yuyasu Ishida, who won numerous awards including the Excellence Award at the 14th Japan Media Arts Festival for his short animation "Fumiko's Confession". It is a story of friendship between boys at a junior high school on a remote island on the eve of a cultural festival, and marks the directorial debut of Yojiro Arai (age 26), who previously worked as an animator on "The Borrower Arrietty," "From Up on Poppy Hill," and "The Wind Rises" at Studio Ghibli.

The film will be released in theaters for a limited three-week run starting June 5, and events will be held for three consecutive weeks. The first event will be a talk session with the director, Yojiro Arai, and the musician, Masashi Hamauzu. Mr. Hamauzu has been active in a wide variety of music scenes including game music such as the "Final Fantasy" series, animation, movies, and commercials, and will talk about his passion as a creator.
