Japan Animation Association changes the name of the project "Human Resource Development Project for Young Animators, etc." commissioned by the Agency for Cultural Affairs! From "Anime Mirai" to "Anime Tamago
The Japan Animation Association announced the name change of the "Human Resource Development Project for Young Animators," a project commissioned by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
This project has been implemented since 2011 with the aim of promoting Japanese animation and fostering young animators who will lead the future, thereby improving and developing Japan's animation creativity. In the first year, the project was held as "Project A" and since then as "Anime Mirai," but in the 2015 fiscal year, it will change to a new name, "Anime Tamago," to reach the next stage. The association says, "The soft lettering and sound of the word 'egg' conjures up the image of a new life that will eventually break through the shell and be born. Since it is easily cracked, it also carries the connotation of a project that the entire industry will warmly nurture until it hatches. Alternatively, the circular shape of the design may suggest a sense of 'harmony'." He commented.
Each year, the four selected organizations in the project have conducted effective on-the-job training for young animators and produced one original 24-minute short animation, which is equivalent to one episode of a TV series. A total of four works have been shown at the Tokyo Anime Awards Festival and other events. The following organizations and works have been selected for "Anime Tamago 2016".
