Wake Up, Girls! to release new single "Shoujo Symphony" on August 26! The first new single in a year and a half is the theme song for "Sequel to the Movie: The First Part".

Wake Up, Girls!" has announced the release of a new single on August 26.


Wake Up, Girls!" is an original anime directed by Hiroshi Yamamoto (director of the TV anime "Lucky Star"), written and composed by Doko Waita, and featuring music by Satoru Kamizaki (MONACA). The TV broadcast and theatrical release started simultaneously in January 2014 and attracted a lot of attention. A new theater version, "Wake Up, Girls! Sequel Theater Version," will be released in September/December 2015 as a two-part series.


A new single by the voice acting unit "Wake Up, Girls!" consisting of seven main cast members (Maasuke Yoshioka, Airi Nagano, Mimi Tanaka, Yoshinoh Aoyama, Nanami Yamashita, Kaya Okuno, and Miyu Takagi) will be released on August 26. The title is "Shoujo Symphony," and it will be their first new single in about a year and a half since their last one, "7 Girls War. The title song "Shoujo Symphony" will be the theme song for "Sequel to Wake Up, Girls! The Movie: The First Arc", which will be released in September. The music video of "Shoujo Kyokyoku" will be included in the limited edition DVD. The song will be unveiled and performed live for the first time on the first day (July 20) of their 2nd live tour "To and fro, Sorry! (July 20 at Namba Hatch, Osaka).
