Summer Anime "Ushio-Tora" Completed with 39 Episodes in 2 Cool + 1 Cool! The story is "straight ahead to the one with the white face."

The TV anime "Ushio-Tora," which will start in July, has been announced as a three-cour series.



Ushio-Tora" is an anime work based on the famous manga by Kazuhiro Fujita, which was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1990 to 1996. This is the first TV anime adaptation of the battle story about a boy, Sougetsu Ushio, and a former great monster, Tora, as they try to exterminate ghosts. Directed by Satoshi Nishimura of "TRIGUN" and "The First Step" fame, series composition by Toshiki Inoue of "DEATH NOTE" and "Devil May Cry" fame, and character design by Tomoko Mori of "GARO" (guest character design). The animation production will be handled by MAPPA studio VOLN, and the OP theme song will be "Mixuna Dangerous" by Muscle Shoujo Band, and the ED theme song will be "HERO" by Sonar Pocket.

The series will consist of 3 cool episodes. After 26 episodes will be aired during the two-cour period from July to December, there will be a one-cour interval, and the remaining 13 episodes will be aired during the one-cour period from April to June, 2016. It was also revealed that the original author, Kazuhiro Fujita, is involved in the series composition. The story will be aired for a total of 39 episodes until the final battle with the "White-Faced One" to complete the story.


A digest of the conversation between Mr. Fujita and the director, Mr. Nishimura, has also been released, allowing viewers to hear what the two have to say about the 39 episodes.
