Ashigara SA will collaborate with Eva from July 17! The world's largest statue of the world's first plane and a collaboration menu will appear!

Ashigara Service Area on the Tomei Expressway will collaborate with "Evangelion" from July 17 to December 23.

This project is inspired by the fact that Ashigara SA is located near the Third New Tokyo City (now Hakone Town, Ashigarashita County), the setting of Evangelion. During the period, EXPASA Ashigara (downhill) will be designated as "NERV Central Japan EVANGELION Ashigara," and the world's largest standing statue of EVA-1 will be exhibited and collaboration menus and limited goods will be sold.

The statue is over 6 meters in height and will be installed in the indoor East Plaza, decorated in the style of NERV headquarters as "Evangelion Hall. The "Lance of Longinus" installed at the Tokyo Sky Tree in 2012 and the Prius first plane version displayed at the "TOYOTA Electric Power Complementary Project" in 2011 will also make an appearance. A total of 10 stores will offer collaboration menus named after characters and works.

Various events will also be held, including a photo session/talk event (July 18-July 19) with race queens from Evangelion Racing, which participates in the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race.

Incidentally, the "Eat Log Products Exhibition" (http://tabelog.com/campaign/nexco_event/) will be held at Dangozaka SA (uphill) on the Chuo Expressway from July 4 to March 31, 2016. This is the first exhibition of food products in the "Eat Log" series, featuring more than 100 items from the restaurants that won the "Eat Log's Best Restaurants 2014" award.
