Theatrical version of "YAMUSUME PEDAL", character set-up drawings of rival schools are unveiled! Kyoto Fushimi, Hiroshima Kure, Kumamoto Daiichi

The character set-up drawings of rival schools from the anime film "YAMUSUME PEDAL THE MOVIE," which will be released on August 28, have been announced.


The anime "Yowamushi Pedal" is based on the manga by Wataru Watanabe, which is serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion. It is a sports story about an otaku boy who enters the world of cycling after meeting his friends and aims for the Inter-High School Championships. The total number of copies of the original comics sold exceeded 13 million, and the second TV anime season, "Weak Pedal GRANDE ROAD," was broadcast from October to March 2015. In August 2015, the first feature film "YAMUSUME PEDAL THE MOVIE" will be released with a completely new story newly written by the original author.

This time, the character set-up drawings of the rival schools that will appear in the film version have been unveiled. Kyoto Fushimi High School, with its first-year ace Sho Midosuji, who will stop at nothing to win; Hiroshima Kure High School, led by Eikichi Waitomiya, who uses his skillful storytelling and rough and fierce style as weapons; and Kumamoto Daiichi High School, with climber Susumu Yoshimoto and giant sprinter Yoshiaki Taura, who were unable to participate in the Inter High due to injury. The members of the team are from Kumamoto Daiichi High School.


In addition, the movie "Weak Pedal Re:ROAD," a newly edited version of the second TV season, opened in 20 theaters and grossed 100 million yen in 10 days. The film will be screened until June 26.
