Macross F" and two movie versions will be broadcast on TV in August!　Also, "Ai oboete desu ka" and "Macross Zero" will be broadcast on TV in August!

The TV broadcast of the anime films "Macross Frontier the Movie: Itsuwari no Utahime" and "Macross Frontier the Movie: Sayonara no Tsubasa" has been decided.

Both films are two parts of a theatrical version of "Macross F," which was broadcast in 2008 as the series' 25th anniversary work, with a large number of new cuts and a reconstructed storyline. Both films were released in theaters in 2009 and 2011, respectively, and together earned 1.35 billion yen at the box office.

This time, WOWOW will broadcast the films on TV. The first HD broadcast will go on-air in August. Also to be broadcast are "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Ai omoemore desu ka" (1984), the series' origin story, and "Macross Zero" (2002), an OVA of five episodes released to commemorate the series' 20th anniversary.

The latest Macross series, "Macross Delta" (tentative), is also in the works.
