Report on the opening day greetings for the second part of the theatrical version of "Shinkage no Kyojin! Each character is starting to resemble the characters of the cast members.
The opening day greetings for the anime film "The Movie: The Battlestar Giants Part 2 - Wings of Freedom" was held at Shinjuku Wald 9 on June 27, 2012.
The TV series, which aired from April to September 2013, was directed by Tetsuro Araki, whose works include "DEATH NOTE," and Yasuko Kobayashi, whose works include "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Yasuko Kobayashi of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" was in charge of the series composition. Before the broadcast, many were concerned about the intense action scenes, but when they opened the door to the series, they found it to be a masterpiece that even fans of the original work were excited to see. Even now that the series has finished airing, it continues to be a topic of conversation and has become as popular as the original manga, which has sold a total of more than 40 million copies. The long-awaited "movie version," a live-action movie and an anime movie, are currently being made simultaneously, and the second TV anime season will start within 2016.
The film is a 5.1ch remastered compilation of episodes 14 to 25 of the TV series with new dubbing. More than 40,000 people from all over Japan applied for the first day's stage greeting, and the 420 people who were successfully selected from among them filled the first venue. The audience was heated up early on when Hiroki Kaji, who plays Eren Jaeger, appeared from the audience seats and threw his cape into the air. Three years have passed since the TV broadcast began, and I can finally look at the work objectively. Especially the voice of the main character, who is shouting a lot, I wondered if his voice was okay (laughs). Director Araki seemed to sense the growth of the characters, saying, "Rather than saying that the cast members have come to resemble their characters, each character has come to resemble the cast members' characters," to laughter from the audience.
In addition, to commemorate the blockbuster hit, a 1-meter giant-shaped kusudama made an appearance. After a countdown by everyone in the audience, it was broken by Hiroki Kaji's command, "Let the march begin! was broken by Hiroki Kaji, which was greeted with thunderous applause. Stage greetings will be held at 17 locations, including Osaka and Nagoya.
