OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin II: Artesia of Sorrow" to be screened on October 31! BD/DVD information also revealed!

The screening date of the OVA "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin II: Artesia of Sorrows" has been set for October 31, and BD/DVD information has also been released.


This is the second chapter of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin," a manga work by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer and animation director of the first Gundam that began broadcasting in 1979, which has sold a total of 10 million copies. This time, the story focuses on what happened to Casbal and Artesia, who escaped to Earth with Zimba Ral, as well as the developments in Side 3, where the Zabi family has strengthened its control as the Autonomous Republic of Zeon. The film continues with Yoshikazu Yasuhiko as general director and character designer, Takashi Imanishi as director, Hajime Katoki as mechanical designer, and Hiroyuki Nishimura as chief animation director. The young Char was played by Mayumi Tanaka, but in this film she is played by Shuichi Ikeda (role: Edwau Mas). Newcomers Mirai Yashima is played by Ayumi Fujimura, Amuro Ray by Toru Furuya, and Char Aznable by Toshihiko Seki.

The event will be screened at 15 theaters nationwide for a limited two-week period starting on October 31, and advance sales and paid distribution of the BD first-run limited edition will begin on the same day. In addition to the screening theaters, pre-sales will also be conducted by Bandai Visual Club (*shipping will begin on November 7). The price is 10,000 yen. The general release date is November 26.


Advance tickets with special offers will go on sale simultaneously on July 18.
