Little Witch Academia: Magic Parade" is a sequel to "Little Witch Academia," a 25-minute original short animation depicting the school life of apprentice witches, which was produced by Trigger in March 2013 as part of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' "Anime Mirai 2013" project to foster young animators. In July 2013, the project started soliciting funds for the sequel production on the American crowdfunding service "Kickstarter" and reached its goal of $150,000 in just five hours. <Story
Luna Nova" is a traditional magic school for girls who want to become witches. The main character, Akko, is still unable to ride a broomstick, and she and her friends Lotte and Sucy are still living in a state of commotion. One day, as punishment for her failure in a class, her teacher tells her that she must participate in a parade to reenact the tragic history of the witch trials with a group of troubled children who are on the verge of failing the class. I'm not interested in a somber, dreary parade! We are going to show the people of the city the wonders of magic!

Akko is now off on her own, and with Lotte and Sucy, who are aghast, and the other problem children joining in, Akko's outlandish parade involving the entire town is about to get underway.
