Asobit City reopens as "LaOX"!　New Duty Free floor followed by Sofmap AM building

The store had been temporarily closed at the end of April for store renovation, but reopened on July 5 as "LaOX Akihabara Asobit City Store.

Perhaps due to the increase in foreign tourists and the revision of the tax exemption system on October 1, 2014 in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (tax exemption items were expanded to all items and tax exemption procedures were simplified), the 1st to 4th floors are now occupied by tax-exempt products (digital cameras, home appliances, household goods, watches, etc.), while the existing hobby product floors are now on the 5th to 7th floors. The hobby product floor has been reduced to the 5th to 7th floors.

Business hours are from 9:00 to 20:00. 5F to 7F will be open from July 15.

In June, Sofmap Akihabara Amusement Center converted the 1st floor into a duty-free merchandise floor, and "foreign tourists" are becoming a new business trend in the Electric Town.
