TV anime "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" to start in October! Directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai, focusing on human drama more than any other work

The TV anime "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" has been announced.

This is the latest anime in the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, which celebrated its 35th anniversary last year. This time, the focus is more on the human drama of the boys' bonds, setbacks, and growth than any of the past works, and the Gundam is said to change along with them. The main character's "Gundam Barbados" grows as it acquires and upgrades the weapons and armaments of enemy mobile suits that it defeats. This is a setting that can be seen as a setting that is strongly conscious of the development of Gunpla products, as in the case of "Gundam Build Fighters".

Directed by "Toradora! The series is directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai of "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai" ("We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day"), with Mari Okada as series director, Yu Ito as character designer, Doshi Chiba as character designer, Naohiro Washio, Kanetake Ebikawa, Ippei Katabe, Kenji Teraoka, Tamotsu Shinohara as mechanical designers, and Katsu Yokoyama as music director. Broadcasting will begin on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. on October 4 on 28 MBS/TBS networks nationwide.

The presentation will be reported in a separate article.

<Story
There was once a great war called the "Battle of Yakuza. It has been about 300 years since that war ended.
The earth sphere has lost its previous governing structure, and a new world has been constructed with a new ruling system. While a tentative peace has come to the Earth, a new war is brewing in the Mars Sphere, far away from the Earth.
The main character, a young boy named Mikazuki Orgas, belongs to a private security company called Crusse Guard Security (CGS), and is assigned to escort Coupélia Aina Bernstein, a young girl who wants to make the Martian city of Crusse independent from Earth, which is under the control of one of the Earth powers. However, when the CGS is attacked by Galalhorn, an armed organization that seeks to nip the rebellion in the bud, the CGS begins to retreat, using Mikazuki and the other children as bait. The boys' leader, Olga Itsuka, takes this opportunity to revolt against the adults who have oppressed them and decides to stage a coup d'etat. Crescent Moon, entrusted by Olga to fight off the Galalhorn, challenges the battle using Gundam Barbados, a mobile suit from the "Battle of Yakuza" era that was used as the CGS's power reactor.
