NoitaminA Film "Empire of the Corpse" Announces Cast! Yoshimasa Hosoya, Ayumu Murase, Daisuke Kusunoki, Shinichiro Miki, Kana Hanazawa, etc.

Noitamina's "Project Itoh," an anime adaptation of a novel by the late Keisuke Ito to be released in theaters, has announced the cast for "Empire of the Corpse," to be released on October 2.


This project is the second noitamina movie following the blockbuster hit "PSYCHO-PASS Psycho-Pass the Movie" and is based on the original novels "Slaughter Organ" and "Harmony" by Keisuke Ito, who died prematurely in 2009 at the age of 34, and the 30-page preface left by his friend and well-known Akutagawa Prize-winning novelist, Shikibito no Teikoku. The three novels, "Slaughterhouse" and "Harmony," were written by Akutagawa Prize-winning author Tou Enjou, who is known as a close friend of Keigeku Ito.

The cast of "Empire of the Corpse," which will be released on October 2, has been unveiled. The main character John H. Watson is played by Yoshimasa Hosoya, Friday, his friend before his death who accompanies him on his journey as a corpse, is played by Ayumi Murase, M, who orders Watson to search for his "memoir," is played by Akio Otsuka, and Frederick Barnaby, a macho British Imperial Army captain who joins Watson as his chaperone, is played by Daisuke Kusunoki, Alexei Karamazov, a genius wight engineer from the Russian Empire who is said to be building a new wight "kingdom" deep in Afghanistan, is played by Shinichiro Miki; Nikolai Krasotkin, who leads Watson's group to Karamazov, is played by Daiki Yamashita; and Kana Hanazawa plays Hadary Lillis, a mysterious beauty they encounter during their journey, The first corpse, The One, is played by Takayuki Sugo.
