Details of the movie version of the TV anime series "selector" have been announced.

The "selector" series is an original anime work based on the adult card game "WIXOSS" by Takara Tomy. The first season "selector infected WIXOSS" aired in April 2014, and the second season "selector spread WIXOSS" aired in October of the same year.

Details of the movie version have now been revealed. It will be released as "selector destructed WIXOSS the Movie" on February 13, 2016 at Shinjuku Wald 9 and 35 other theaters nationwide. The staff will be reunited from the TV anime production team. The director is Takuya Sato, composition and script by Mari Okada, character design by Kyuta Sakai, music by Maiko Iuchi, and animation production by J.C. STAFF. The cast will remain unchanged, and new episodes will follow the storyline of the TV series.

Advance tickets with special offers will go on sale on August 1. The first set of tickets will feature the WIXOSS promo card "Arc Distract" (holo- and foil-stamped), while the Comic Market 88 version will feature a limited clear file set.

Incidentally, as for the trading card game "WIXOSS," the total number of shipments has exceeded 10 million packs (six times the initial estimate) in the year since its release, and the game is gaining popularity mainly among males in their late teens to 30s. In addition to Japan, the game is also available in seven countries around the world, including China and Singapore. This winter, the first ever world championship will be held in Japan, with representatives from each country.

<Story
A junior high school student, Luuko Kominato, has no friends and spends her days without any particular complaints. Her older brother, who cares for her, gives her a game of WIXOSS, a trading card game popular among both boys and girls in junior high and high school. When she opens the card game and looks at the Rurigu card, the player's alter ego, the girl on the card suddenly begins to move. She is puzzled by this strange situation when her classmate Yuguki Kohbayashi appears and challenges her to a card battle. According to her, the girl who gets a "Rurig Card with a will" like Tama is called a "Selector", and the one who wins the battle between the Selectors will eventually become the "Dream Limit Girl", the form she desires. What is Tama? What is a selector? What is a Dream Limit Girl? Hopes, desires, and lusts... In order to make their desires come true, the girls enter a dangerous game that could end at any moment...
