EVA collaborates with Sanyo Shinkansen!　Collaborated train "500 TYPE EVA" with the design of the first model will be in operation from this fall.

This is a collaboration project to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Sanyo Shinkansen's full operation and the 20th anniversary of "Evangelion" TV broadcast. The new collaboration bullet train "500 TYPE EVA" will operate on the Sanyo Shinkansen from this fall until March 2017. The train car was designed by Eva's mechanical designer, Ikuto Yamashita, and supervised by director Hideaki Anno. In addition, passengers will be able to enjoy Eva-themed contents* on the train during the ride. Furthermore, various events are planned during the period, including the sale of commemorative travel goods and commemorative merchandise.

The train will run from Hakata at 6:36 a.m. (Kodama No. 730) to Shin-Osaka at 11:14 a.m. (Kodama No. 741) to Hakata at 4:07 p.m. For details, please visit the special website (http://www.500type-eva.jp/).
