NoitaminA Film "Harmony" Announces Cast! Sawashiro Miyuki, Suzaki Aya, Sakakibara Yoshiko, Otsuka Akio, Miki Shinichiro, etc.

Noitamina's "Project Itoh," an animated feature film based on the novel by the late Keisuke Ito, has announced the cast for "Harmony," which will be released on December 4.

This project, the second noitamina movie following the blockbuster hit "PSYCHO-PASS Psycho-Pass the Movie," is based on the original full-length novels "Slaughterhouse Organ" and "Harmony" by Keisuke Ito, who died prematurely in 2009 at the age of 34, and his 30-page preface, which was written by his close friend and Akutagawa Prize-winning author, Akutagawa Shoichiro. The three novels, "Slaughter Organ" and "Harmony," were written by Akutagawa Prize-winning author Tou Enjou, who is known as a close friend of Keigeku Ito.

The cast of "Harmony," which will be released in theaters on December 4, has been unveiled, with Miyuki Sawashiro as the inspector Kiritoshi Toan, who is bound by the existence of her friend Miaha Mikado, who committed suicide together in an incident 13 years ago, but travels the world's battlefields to conduct peacekeeping activities, and Miyuki Kishiro as the mastermind behind the incident who invites Toan and others to commit suicide. The charismatic and beautiful girl, Miaha Mikori, is played by Rena Ueda, the two are well acquainted with each other, and after her suicide attempt, in contrast to Toan, she tries to blend in with the society. Keita Saeki, a scientist who is the creator of WatchMe, is played by Cho; Elijah Vasiloff, an Interpol agent who has set out to solve a mass murder case, is played by Shinichiro Miki; Oscar Stauffenberg, Toan's superior officer, is played by Yoshiko Sakakibara; and Akio Otsuka plays Asaf, a Tuareg chief who does business with Toan in the battlefield. A long version PV has also been released.

Incidentally, "Harmony" is the second and last work of Keisuke Ito, released a few months before his death. In the original work, it is depicted in a way that recalls the near future several decades after his debut work "Slaughterhouse", and in 2012, after his death, he was the first Japanese to win the prestigious Philip K. Dick Award Special Prize for Science Fiction Literature in the United States.

Comment from Miyuki Sawashiro (playing the role of Kiritoshi Toan)
About the characters and world view
I have never seen such a single story that deals only with life. It is a story about life and the will of life without any other elements such as war, disease, or family. I was not at all impressed with Tang because my mind was so wary of Mia Hua, who was like an incarnation of the life force. Even though she talked so much! (Laughs)
 Dear fans
I am not trying to make a brief comment, but all I can say is, please come to the theater. I feel that it is not a story that can be shared, but it is a story that cannot be taken in alone.
