Digimon Adventure tri." is the latest anime of the Digimon series, a sequel to the first "Digimon Adventure. It is a new work depicting the growth of the "chosen children," including the main character Taichi Yagami, who is now a high school student, and will be released as a movie in six chapters. The film is directed by Keitaro Motonaga, with series composition by Yuko Kakihara and character design by Atsuya Uki. The cast will be renewed as the children grow up, but the original cast of partner digimon will continue to be cast. The theme song will be a newly recorded version of an existing song.

The BD/DVD information for the first chapter "Reunion," which will be released on November 21, has been released. The release date is December 18, and the first run of the BD/DVD will come with an original transparent sleeve drawn by Atsuya Uki and a reduced-size theater pamphlet. Video extras will include a trailer.

The second TV series "Digimon Adventure 02" (50 episodes) will also be released as a BD-BOX. It will be released as "Digimon Adventure 02 15th Anniversary Blu-ray BOX" on March 2, 2016. Special features include a newly-drawn transparent sleeve and three-sided art box, two types of newly-drawn DigiStack cases, a re-edited version of the booklet included in the previously released DVD-BOX, and a non-transcription OP/ED. The limited edition also comes with a special newly-drawn jogless art case that can hold the first BD-BOX of the TV series together, two books of setting materials (approx. 150 pages planned), and two types of original cloth posters. The price is 59,800 yen plus tax for the limited edition and 52,800 yen plus tax for the standard edition.
