GARO, the second TV animation series "GARO -Koren no Tsuki" is set in the Heian Period!　Masakazu Katsura designed 4 main characters.

The TV anime "GARO -Kouren no Tsuki-" has been announced.

GARO - Kouren no Tsuki" is the second TV anime following "GARO - GARO: Mark of Fire" in 2014 from the special effects series for adults "GARO", which has a total of four series broadcast since 2005. This time, manga artist Masakazu Katsura, who is also well known as the character designer for "TIGER & BUNNY," will be the main character designer, and a new story will be depicted as a "Neo Heian Katsudo" set in the Heian period. Production will continue to be handled by MAPPA and TOHOKUSHINSHA.

To commemorate the start of the new series, a teaser visual and the first teaser PV were also released. The teaser visual depicts the silhouettes of the four main characters floating in a ruin filled with sparks and white smoke. The teaser PV is a 15-second video featuring one of the main characters, Raikaku.

In addition, "-Kouren no Tsuki: Posture Picture Sticker" will be distributed at Comic Market 88. The stickers will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis at the Tohokushinsha booth (No. 326) on the West 4F to those who post a photo of themselves at the booth on Twitter.

The mere idea of a "Marauder" or "Marauder Master" playing a dark role in the Heian period is enough to make me feel "interested" in the story!　I love GARO. I love GARO, and it is by far my favorite among all of Amemiya Seipai's works. That's why I was so excited when I was chosen to participate in the animated version of GARO. That's why I was so fired up and worked as hard as I could, and perhaps that's why ......, I'm sure, I did so. I was asked to create a "neo peaceful style with a touch of melancholy," which was exquisitely difficult for me, and now that I've finished, I wonder if I did the right thing. Was it right? I am very anxious about it. Well, that's beside the point. I'll be waiting for the broadcast with excitement for the pleasure of watching GARO with new characters and a new historical setting!
