Akihabara's maid café "@HOME Cafe" has received the "2015 Certificate of Excellence," awarded to establishments that receive extremely positive reviews on TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel site.




The @HOME Cafe is a long-established maid café that has been in operation since 2004, and last year its total number of visitors exceeded 3 million. In addition to maid café fans, many tourists visit the café every day, and visitors from overseas account for about 30% of the total number of visitors. The café has maids who are proficient in foreign languages and has become a famous tourist attraction in Akihabara.

The "Certificate of Excellence" awarded this time is given to establishments that have received a certain number of reviews on TripAdvisor and are consistently rated highly. Of the many facilities listed on TripAdvisor, only about 10% can receive this award. A new store, the fifth in Akihabara, will open on August 8. It will be located on the 5th floor of the Mitsuwa Building, which houses three stores: the main store on the 4th floor, the main store on the 6th floor, and the main store on the 7th floor.
