Hot-blooded gag baseball anime "Midoriyama High School Koshien Arc" to be released as a low-priced BD-BOX on November 11!　Collaboration with the BC League's Fukushima Hopes!

OVA "Midoriyama High School Koshien Arc" will be released on Blu-ray. The low-priced BD-BOX will be released on November 11.

Midoriyama High School Koshien Arc" was produced in 1990 with a total of 10 episodes and gained popularity as a baseball anime with the opposite elements of hot blood and gag. Set in the newly established baseball club of Midoriyama High School in Fukushima Prefecture, the story depicts Nikaido, a pitcher with a super fastball, and other members of the club who only want to stand out as the representative team of the prefecture, taking on the powerful schools in the Koshien Tournament. In addition to the high-tension and ad-lib performance of Shigeru Chiba, who plays the main character Nikaido, veteran actors Yutaka Mizushima, Tetsuaki Genda, and Toshihiko Seki add to the charm of the film.

The low-priced BD-BOX contains 415 minutes of the feature film, 82 minutes of the theatrical version, and video extras on a single BD disc in "high-rate SD (480i)" picture quality, which surpasses DVD picture quality. The theatrical version is recorded in both original 2ch. and 5.1ch. surround sound, and includes an audio commentary by the production staff with newly recorded rare and secret stories from that time. In addition, from the independent league "BC League" established in 2015, the collaboration with Fukushima Hopes, a prefectural baseball team, was realized due to the common point of "the first year of the establishment of the team" and "Fukushima Prefecture". The booklet will feature a collaboration manga drawn by Atsuo Kuwasawa, the original author, who is also from Fukushima Prefecture.
