Staff and Cast of Fall Anime "Young Black Jack" Unveiled!　Young Black Jack is Yuichiro Umehara

The staff, cast, and broadcast date of the TV anime "Young Black Jack," which will start in the fall, have been announced.



Young Black Jack" is an anime work based on a manga serialized in "Young Champion" (original story by Osamu Tezuka, screenplay by Yoshiaki Tabata, manga by Yugo Okuma). It depicts the young days of the miraculous genius surgeon Black Jack, the main character of Osamu Tezuka's masterpiece "Black Jack. How did he become an unlicensed black market doctor who demands exorbitant amounts of money?　Black Jack's unknown past will be revealed.

The staff and main cast have now been unveiled. The director is Mitsuko Kase of "Ristorante Paradiso" and "The Last Weapon Girlfriend," series composition and supervisor is Ryosuke Takahashi of "Firebird" and "Armored Trooper Votoms," animation production is by Tezuka Productions, and music production is by Being. The cast includes Yuichiro Umehara as the main character, Makuro Otoko, who later becomes Black Jack; Koji Yusa as Yabu; Shizuka Ito as Maiko Okamoto; and Akio Otsuka as the narrator.

Broadcasting will begin on October 1 on TBS, every Thursday at 2:16 am.
