It was announced that Mansai Nomura will play the role of Noroi from the animated film "GAMBA Gamba and Friends" to be released on October 10.

GAMBA Gamba and Friends" is a 3DCG animation film based on the classic children's novel "The Adventurers: Gamba and His 15 Friends," whose TV animation version, "Gamba's Adventure" (1975), is known for its high quality that is hard to believe it was made for children. The film is produced by Shirogumi, the same company that created the outstanding 3DCG animation for the blockbuster hit "STAND BY ME Doraemon," and uses today's most advanced visual technology to depict an epic adventure story in which a group of small mice join forces to fight a giant enemy. It is said to be a major project that took 15 years from conception to completion, took 10 years to produce, and cost 2 billion yen to produce. It has been 24 years since "The Adventures of Gamba and the Otter" was released in 1991. The project is planned and directed by Yoichi Ogawa, vice president of Shirogumi, directed by Tomohiro Kawamura and Takahiro Komori of Shirogumi, and written by Ryota Furusawa, who also wrote the script for the live-action film version of "Yosei Zyu.

The visual and cast of Noroi have now been released. Noroi, the white weasel who stands in the way of Gamba and his friends, is a villain portrayed in past works as a brutal and ruthless character who, despite his beautiful white figure, sets traps and kills rats one after another. It is said that he even became a traumatic experience for the boys and girls of the time, as he brought not only Gamba and his friends, but also the viewers, to the brink of despair. The horror is still present in the new version of the film. While the character has a more neutral personality similar to that of the original work, his presence is still very powerful, full of dignity and awe, and he is portrayed as a character befitting the strongest enemy that stands in the way of Gamba and his friends. Noroi is played by the rare actor Mansai Nomura. In addition to Kyogen, he is also active in movies and TV dramas, and has gained support from a wide range of audiences through his regular appearances on NHK's children's program "Nihongo de Asobo" (Let's Play in Japanese), and this will be his second attempt at voice acting. This will be her second attempt at voice acting, and her first time playing a villain, something she has wanted to do for a long time. The dignified character of Noroi and Mr. Nomura's voice are sure to have a terrifying and powerful impact on the audience.

In conjunction with the announcement, a poster featuring Noroi was also unveiled. The poster design is designed to emphasize the overwhelming terror that stands in front of Gamba and his friends.

Comment from Mansai Nomura
Noroi is a very important role and a villain. I really enjoyed playing the role, as I have wanted to play a villain for a long time.
Noroi is a charismatic character who is both scary and seductive, and the first image that came to mind was that of Berg Katze, the antagonist to "Gatchaman. In order to express Noroi's personality well, I wanted to express the swing of the character, showing a little feminine and fluffy side while suddenly cutting in with a snap, because he is not scary if he is just uptight all the time. At first I was concentrating on getting my character out there, but by the end I think I had become a total Noroi. When we had a big fight, I felt like I was really fighting with my reactions, etc., and I used my whole body to do the dubbing. I felt that postrecording is very hard work (laughs).
The story is based on the friendship and family love among the mice, and they all join forces to fight each other. I was completely drawn in and fascinated by the unexpected twist and turns. It is a movie that can be enjoyed by men and women of all ages, and I would like to watch it with my children. I hope you will watch it with your family.
