Autumn anime "Osomatsu-san" reveals the six children in their casual clothes!　How to distinguish between them is how they dress!　Cast and Staff Comments

Illustrations depicting the six children in their casual clothes and comments from the cast and staff have arrived from the TV anime "Osomatsu-san," which will start in October.



Osomatsu-san" is an original anime work produced to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the late Fujio Akatsuka's birth.Based on "Osomatsu-kun," agagcomicpublished by Fujio Akatsuka in Weekly Shōnen Sunday in 1962 that became an explosive hit, "Osomatsu-san" depicts a future where the six children have grown up. This is the first new "Osomatsu-kun" in 27 years, following the first "Osomatsu-kun" (monochrome anime) broadcast in 1966 and the second one in 1988. Directed by Yoichi Fujita of "Gintama" fame, character design by Naoyuki Asano, series composition by Shu Matsubara, and animation production by studio Piero.

The teaser visual depicted the six children posing in formal attire, but the illustration released this time shows them in casual clothes and hoodies.

Although it is hard to tell them apart at first glance, from left to right are Todomatsu, Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, and Jyushimatsu. The trick to distinguishing them is the individuality that comes through in their outfits: the stylish Karamatsu is wild with his sleeves rolled up, the firm Choromatsu is a little more formal with a shirt inside, and the worldly Todomatsu has a more modern look with a knit hat. The fact that they still wear matching outfits even as adults is a clear indication of how close they are.
