Date A Live Mayuri Judgment the Movie," Cast Comments Released! It's a festival, a reward, and truly a summing up."
Cast comments have arrived from the anime film "Date A Live Mayuri Judgment the Movie," which will be released in theaters on August 22.
Date A Live" is an anime work based on a light novel (written by Tachibana Kouji/illustrated by Tsunako) published by Fujimi Fantasia Bunko that has sold over 3.5 million copies in total.
The film tells the story of a mysterious beautiful girl and a giant sphere that suddenly appears in Amamiya City, which is supposed to have regained peace, and releases mysterious spirit waves. The pamphlet sold at theaters features Juka in a new spiritual costume and a face reminiscent of a heated battle on the cover, a playback of the TV series, a thorough explanation of the film version, and interviews with the main staff and cast. The magazine also includes a playback of the TV series, an in-depth commentary on the film version, and interviews with the main staff and cast.
Nobunaga Shimazaki (Shidou Gokawa)
◎What did you think of the theater version?
It was really a "festival. It is a "festival" and a "reward" for those who have supported this work up to now, as well as for us. It is truly the sum total of "Date A Live" (laughs). There are dates, battles, and many other elements packed in, so it's just a lot of fun. At the same time, you can enjoy both the peaceful everyday life and the serious battles that characterize this work. It was pure fun to record.
Marina Inoue (Playing the role of Juka Yatogami)
◎What is the appeal of "Date A Live"?
I think "Date A Live" is a work where anything is possible. There was the original novel, spin-off novels, anime, games, and events, and by adding new settings, it is a work that keeps creating new stories. I played the role of Juka's alternate persona in the game version ("Date A Live: A Mamoru Installation"), and I found the story so interesting that I thought it would be even more interesting if it were made into an animated movie version. I thought it would be even more interesting if it were made into an animated film version. I was able to experience new possibilities. I think "Date A Live" is the kind of work that makes us, the cast members, look forward to what kind of story it will be this time (......).
Ayana Taketatsu (Kotori Gokawa)
◎What is your impression of "Date A Live" and Kotori?
Even when I am not recording the anime, I am often involved in the work through games and drama CDs, etc. Each time I record the work, I discover something new about it. I can see the cuteness that is appropriate for her age in "Kurokotori" (laughs).
Iori Nomizu (Actress: Yotsuino)
◎How did you feel when the production of the theater version was decided?
At first, I was honestly happy, but later on, I slowly began to realize how great and happy I was that the fans' love for the work made it possible to make a theater version. Furthermore, we were able to announce at the event, "We are going to make a movie version! I was also very happy to be able to make the announcement at the event and share the joy with the fans as quickly as possible.
Asami Sanada (Kyozo Tokizaki)
◎How did you feel when the theater version was decided?
I was honestly happy to realize that the theater version was realized as a result of the enthusiasm and support of all the fans. I was also very much looking forward to playing Kyozo again. I was again surprised at the number of people in the cast during postrecording (laughs).
Marei Uchida (Yakutoya Yamai)
◎How did you feel when you were chosen to play the role in the theater version?
I have been participating since the second season of the TV series, and I was happy that the worldview created in the first season would be further expanded. Shido-kun is a wonderful boy who makes girls happy, and I think that this year's production will be, as always, a fun one in which the spirits can dream.
Emi Bridcut Sailer (Yugen Yamai)
◎How did you feel when the theater version was decided?
When I participated in the second season of the TV series for the first time, I knew that the series had been popular since the first season and that it was connected to the second season. So when I heard that it was going to be a movie version, I was surprised to hear that it was going to be even more connected! I was surprised to hear that there was going to be a movie version, and at the same time, I was able to feel the love of all the fans.
Minori Chihara (played the role of Mikyuu Yoinomiya)
What was your impression of the story?
I felt it was a sad story. Of course, there are lively and fun scenes that are typical of "Date A Live," but when I thought about Mayuri, I felt a little sad. <I would like you to pay attention to the fragile, yet dignified and beautiful appearance of Mayuri.
Amemiya Ten (Mayuri)
◎"Date a Live" is a story about a date that leads spirits to become derelict.
To be honest, I was surprised when I learned about this setting. I thought it was novel. I had never thought that the "date" in the title "Date a Live" was really that "date" (laughs). (Laughs) But it is a much more peaceful way to solve a problem than to fight with someone by "force" and overpower them. I thought it was a wonderful story, even though it was in a direction I did not expect. Also, each of the spirits is very cute and Shido is a very nice person. I was attracted to this aspect of the story. I was attracted to that aspect of the story.
