Autumn Anime "Sakurako-san no Ashiwa ni Mareta ni Buried Under the Dead Body" Announces Cast! Shizuka Ito as Sakurako Kujo, the bone-loving young lady

The main visual and cast have been announced for the TV anime "Sakurako-san no Ashiwa ni Mita ni Shita ni Buried Underneath a Corpse," which will start in October.


Sakurako-san no Ashiwa ni Mita ni Shintai Burimareru Aru" is an anime work based on a mystery novel by Shiori Ota, published by Kadokawa Bunko. The story follows Sakurako Kujo, a young lady of exceptional beauty and style who loves to admire beautiful bones, and Shotaro Tatewaki, an ordinary high school student who is pushed around by her, as they become entangled in a case involving bones. Directed by "Pupipo! and "Aldnoah Zero"; assistant director is Makoto Bessho of "Shangri-La"; series composition is by Takayo Igami of "Riruping Drum" and "Urikuma Arashi"; and animation production is by TROYCA.

The main visual, cast members, and character sketches have been unveiled. Sakurako Kujo, a skeletal specimen expert, is played by Shizuka Ito, who has been fascinated by bones since childhood and has extensive knowledge not only of bones but also of forensic medicine; Junya Enoki plays Shotaro Tatewaki, a first-year high school student who comes to work with Sakurako after a certain incident; and Ayaka Imamura plays Yuriko Konoe, Shotaro's classmate who has suffered the trauma of the death of her grandmother, Masako Isobe plays Sawaume, aka "Baya-san" who has served the Kujo family for a long time and raised Sakurako; Hiroki Takahashi plays Hiroki Utsumi, a police officer who is somewhat unreliable but has a strong sense of justice; Akira Ishida plays Sai Isozaki, a biology teacher who is Shotaro's class teacher and has a disappointing personality; and Tetsuya Kakihara plays Yoto Imai, a classmate of Shotaro who is interested in Yuriko. is played by Tetsuya Kakihara.
