→The low-priced BD-BOX of the hot-blooded gag baseball anime "Midoriyama High School Koshien Arc" will be released on November 11! Collaboration with BC League's "Fukushima Hopes" is also in the works.

Midoriyama High School Koshien Arc" was produced in 1990 with a total of 10 episodes and gained popularity as a baseball anime with the opposite elements of hot-bloodedness and gag. Set in the newly established baseball club of Midoriyama High School in Fukushima Prefecture, the story depicts Nikaido, a pitcher with a super fastball, and other members of the club who only want to stand out as the representative team of the prefecture, taking on the powerful schools in the Koshien Tournament. In addition to the high-tension and ad-lib performance of Shigeru Chiba, who plays the main character Nikaido, veteran actors Yutaka Mizushima, Tetsuaki Genda, and Toshihiko Seki add to the charm of the film.

The collaboration visual was released in preparation for the release of the low-priced BD-BOX on November 11. The illustration shows Nikaido, the main character in "Midoriyama High School Koshien Arc," and Akinori Iwamura (player and manager of Fukushima Hopes) shaking hands, and Nikaido is wearing a Fukushima Hopes uniform, as if at an entrance press conference.

Incidentally, Fukushima Hopes is a prefectural baseball team belonging to the BC League, an independent league founded in 2015, and shares with Midoriyama High School the fact that it is in its first year of existence and Fukushima Prefecture.
