Hof Beccalai Edegger Tacks March Ecute Kanda-Mansebashi announced its Japan-only menu.

Edegger Tacks March Ecute Kanda-Mansebashi opens on September 5, 2012! Austrian royal bakery lands in Japan for the first time!

The first overseas branch of the oldest bakery "Hof Beckerlei Edegger Tacks" in Graz, Austria, which is registered as a World Heritage site, will open on September 5. In addition to the regular "Handkaiser" (200 yen) and the "Kipfel" (250 yen), which is said to be the prototype of the croissant, the store will also sell several original menu items.

The "Open Sandwich" will range from 350 yen to 380 yen, and the "Edgertorte" will be 540 yen. The "Open Sandwich" is a slice of royal bread topped with ham, smoked salmon, white asparagus, vegetable dip, etc. It is popular in cities such as Vienna and Graz, where it is served as an aperitif with beer or wine. On the other hand, the "Edeggertorte" expresses the tradition of the royal family with sweets, using caramel cream mixed with pumpkin seeds, an everyday Austrian ingredient, and chocolate dough mixed with raisins soaked in red wine in honor of Mr. Edeggert, a wine lover. The chocolate dough is also mixed with raisins soaked in red wine.

In addition, March Ecute will hold a campaign from September 5 to 27 to celebrate its second anniversary. Limited edition products will be sold at 10 permanent stores.
