The results of the "Best of Director Seiji Kishi" poll were announced! Arpeggio of Blue Steel" came in first place, followed by "Yuna Yuki" in second place and "Angel Beats!

Akiba Research Institute's anime portal "Anipota" started a poll on August 19, 2015 for the "Best of Director Seiji Kishi," and the poll was closed on September 6. Here are the results of the voting.

Director Seiji Kishi has produced a wide range of animation works. There is no shortage of works that have been the talk of the town. Recently, he produced "Rampo Kitan Game of Laplace," a work commemorating the 50th anniversary of the death of Edogawa Rampo, which has been attracting attention for its unique touch and light tempo, reconstructing the world of Edogawa Rampo in a modern style.

Director Seiji Kishi has worked on such a wide range of works, but the work that Anipota users chose as No. 1 was "Arpeggio Ars Nova," which aired in the fall of 2013 and was also a big hit. This work revolves around the motif of the battleships of the former Imperial Japanese Navy, known as the "Fog Armada," and their anthropomorphic mental models, and the elaborate 3DCG ship models became a big hit among military fans, making the work instantly popular. Arpeggio Ars Nova Cadenza" is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 3, which shows the high popularity of this work, and it also took the top spot in this year's poll.

Although "Arpeggio: Ars Nova" was ahead of "Arpeggio Arpeggio - Ars Nova" by a whopping 100 votes, the second place went to the magical girl series "Yuna Yuki wa Yusha de Aruba" that was aired in the fall of 2014. The main character, Yuna Yuki, becomes a "hero" as an extension of her club activities called the "Yuusha Club" and gets involved in a battle to protect the world. Toward the end of the story, however, the trickiness of the story is gradually revealed. ...... The gap between the beginning and the end of the story is quite large, and the work drew controversy from both sides, but was ultimately highly praised.

In third place was "Angel Beats!", another much talked-about work, an anime about a school that has been on air since April 2010, but takes place in a world after death. The main character, Yugen Otonashi, fights against the "Angels" of the "Dead World Front" led by Yuri Nakamura, the student council president. It is an unreasonable world where peaceful school life and battles are intermingled. It is a mysterious story in which the secrets are revealed toward the end of the film, but the essence of the film, which is unique to director Seiji Kishi, is incorporated to a great extent, and the film has received very high acclaim.

The rankings and number of votes for the fourth place and below are as follows.
