Courtroom battle game "Ace Attorney" to be adapted into anime! Broadcasting on terrestrial television from April 2016

Ace Attorney" will be adapted into an animated TV series.



The "Ace Attorney" series is a "courtroom battle" adventure game by Capcom. Players act as defense attorneys for defendants accused of crimes they did not commit, solving mysteries by conducting investigations and finding inconsistencies in testimony to win acquittals in court. The series has gained popularity for its well-crafted scenarios and unique characters, and five games in the series and spin-offs "Ace Attorney" and "Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney" were released between 2001 and 2013. The latest title, "Ace Attorney 6" is currently in development. Various media mixes have also been developed, including a stage adaptation by the Takarazuka Revue and a live-action film.


A TV anime adaptation was announced at TOKYO GAME SHOW 2015 and is scheduled to air on terrestrial television from April 2016. Details have not yet been revealed, but popular characters such as lawyer Ryuichi Narihodo, medium Mayoi Ayasato, and skilled prosecutor Reiji Goken will appear in the anime.
