This is the second part of the series, following "Sinbad: The Flying Princess and the Island of Secrets," which opened in theaters on July 4, and is directed by Shinpei Miyashita, who directed "Doraemon: Nobita's Dinosaur 2006," with series composition by Hiroyuki Kawasaki, who directed "Ronja the Bandit's Daughter," and animation by Yoshiharu Sato, who directed "My Neighbor Totoro" and "The Witch's Delivery Service. Yoshiharu Sato, who has worked on Ghibli films, will be in charge of the animation.

The release date has been set for January 16, 2016. The visual and PV have also been released. The visual, created by Yoshiharu Sato, depicts a dignified Sinbad and Sanaa on the ground against the backdrop of a storm-damaged ship. In the previous work, Sinbad, a boy who dreams of becoming a sailor, meets Sanah, a magical princess who falls from the sky, and together with the Bahar ship led by Captain Razak, sets off on a journey to find Sanah's friends scattered around the world. In this film, the Bahar stops at an island to repair the Bahar, which was damaged by a storm, and embarks on a search for a lamp that contains a sacred power that was left behind by Sanah's companions. The film depicts the group facing new challenges, including a blue horse running on water, huge footprints left on the island, an island that suddenly begins to move, and the clutches of Dar and his men who are after Sanaa.
