New characters and cast members have been announced for the anime film "Digimon Adventure tri.

Digimon Adventure tri." is the latest anime film in the Digimon series, a sequel to the original "Digimon Adventure. It is a new film depicting the growth of the "chosen children" (Taichi Yagami, Yamato Ishida, Sora Takenouchi, Mitsuro Izumi, Mimi Tachikawa, Takeshi Kido, Takeru Takaishi, and Hikari Yagami), including the main character, Taichi Yagami, who is now a high school student, and will be released as a six-chapter film. The film is directed by Keitaro Motonaga, with series composition by Yuko Kakihara and character design by Atsuya Uki. The cast will be renewed as the children grow up, but the original cast of partner digimon will continue to be cast. The theme song will be a newly recorded version of an existing song.

The first chapter, "Reunion," will be released in 10 theaters nationwide on November 21, and new characters and cast members have been unveiled. Daisuke Namikawa plays Daigo Nishijima, a part-time lecturer who is the assistant teacher of the main character Taichi's class, and Yuko Kaita plays Maki Himekawa, a mysterious woman who appears before the chosen children.

A new music video has also been completed. It will be released after "Digimon Adventure 02" episodes 1 to 12, starting at 19:00 on September 21 (http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv233793705).
