Naoya Ishikawa of the privately produced animation studio "Ishikawa Productions" has announced the establishment of a new company, "Municipal Animation Co.

The new company, "Municipal Animation Corporation," is an animation production company specializing in PR for local governments, created by Naoya Ishikawa, an animation creator known for his single-handed production of " Binchotan " and "Sticky Boshi" as Ishikawa Productions. The new company was established with the idea of specializing in the production of animations that help revitalize the local community.

The new company will take into account the reality that local government budgets do not allow for orders to be placed with major video companies, and will utilize the experience of Ishikawa Productions, which has produced a small number of elite animated films at reasonable prices. For example, the production cost of a typical TV animation episode (22 minutes) is 15 million yen = more than 7 million yen per 10 minutes including planning and start-up costs.
