Melocure finally held a one-man live concert! A night of harmony between the two

On September 21, 2015, Melocure's first solo live "Melocure melodic hard tour [crescent picnic]" was held at Shibuya WWW.
The live house has a capacity of 400 people, and tickets were sold out immediately after they went on sale. As the audience filled the floor, their silhouettes appeared on a white screen and were removed as the song began.

The first song was "Pop Step Jump ! The first song was "Pop Step Jump ! Ritsuko Okazaki and Megumi Hyuga's harmonies echoed, and the band's performance followed.

Standing near the lower part of the stage, Megumi Hinata kept rhythm and listened to the leader's voice with her head down, and when the chorus part came, she put the microphone close to her mouth.

This performance with the presence of her partner could be seen consistently throughout the show.

The second song, "Sunday Sundae," began with the chorus of "melocure," the name of the unit. This British pop number, typical of Ritsuko Okazaki, filled the venue with a happy mood.

Megumi Hinata was the first to speak after the two songs.

She expressed her emotion at the first one-man show in the 13th year since their formation, saying, "I'm seeing a scene spread out before me that makes me think I'm dreaming.

Hinata's costume was a red and navy blue checkered summer coat.

Since the concept of the concert was a "picnic," a coffee table was set up on stage with tea cups, shortcakes, and sandwiches for two.

I'm already hungry, so I'm going to go to the back of the stage. I'm already hungry, so I'll just have a little bit," said Megumi Hinata, who suddenly started eating the cake, and the audience laughed.

For fans who are used to seeing meg rock perform live, eating omusubi on stage is their default, a familiar scene where Japanese food is replaced by Western food.

Next up were two calm songs, "I Saw a Rainbow" and "Kigarashi no Pavement, Hana no Blooming Haru wo Haru wo".

Here, they shed their summer coats for white and pink dresses. The song continued into the up-tempo "Mukohi Aoi (Sunflower)".

After the second MC, the middle part of the show started with a new song "my favoritz", followed by the first single "Aishii kakera" and "Futari no sekai [Melocure meets Kawaguchi Keita]" rearranged by Kawaguchi Keita, who was also a member of the band this time.

The band continued with "1st Priority" and "Home & Away," catchy singles that kept the audience excited.

Guest Tatsuya Nishiwaki, who would appear on stage a few moments later, opened his speech by saying, "Melocure is a rock band.

I felt this most in the middle part of the song: "my favoritz" with its gentle melody and noisy guitar, "Aishii kakera" which had a hint of alternative rock in the original, "Futari no sekai," a guitar rock song by Keita Kawaguchi, and the danceable "Home & Away," all of them rockin' and rollin'. The audience was able to fully enjoy the rockin' and rollin' charm of Melocure.

I'm glad we could do this together," said Hinata, "since it was Melocure's first one-man show, we had a lot of songs we wanted to get wild with. Of course, they didn't forget to replenish their energy with cake and sandwiches.

After singing a quiet song, "Shiawase" to calm the tension in the audience, guest Tatsuya Nishiwaki appeared on stage.

The audience applauded his comments with full of love for MeloCure, saying, "We, including our staff, will keep MeloCure alive by any means necessary.

From this point until the end, the performance included Nishiwaki's piano.

The first song featuring Nishiwaki was "Agapē," for which everyone had been waiting for this moment. Starting with a piano intro, the performance became more and more dramatic, and the audience was overwhelmed by the clear vocals and chorus. Looking around the floor, one could see that this is what it means to take one's breath away.

During the interlude, Nishiwaki stood up and played harmonica. The nostalgic tone of the harmonica echoed through the air.

The main part of the live ended with "ALL IN ALL," a song that was second to none in terms of drama. The band members left the stage, but of course there was still time for an encore.

Megumi Hyuga appeared on stage again, changed into a tour T-shirt, and introduced the band members one by one. She asked the band members, "What's your favorite sandwich ingredient?" (for Keita Kawaguchi, his favorite omusubi ingredient).

The bass player, Mito, was not in a mood to ask what his favorite ingredient was, so he turned on the microphone and said, "Tell us what you have in mind.

I'm Mito of Clammbon, a representative of the fans," "I cry once in every two songs," he said. This was another example of the love of Melodieu at its best.

The encore started with a cover of "Egao no Renren (Chain of Smiles)" by Ritsuko Okazaki for Yui Horie, with Okazaki taking the first chorus and Hyuga taking the second chorus, finishing with "Meguriai (Meguriai)," a song "the leader says is an economic song.

("Meguriai" has a dabada-dabada chorus in the interlude, and hearing it live was a personal highlight of the show.)

Normally, the concert would have ended here, but the audience called out, "One more time! The band members appeared on stage again. The members came on stage again for an unexpected double encore. The song was "Home & Away," which was performed for the second time.

I want to continue the Melodic Hard Tour for the rest of my life. Please continue to support Melocure!"

Thank you very much! We were Ritsuko Okazaki and Megumi Hyuga of Melocure.

The two-hour live concert ended with a promise to meet again someday.

During the live, the announcement of the decision to distribute the album "Melodic Super Hard Cure" in high-resolution format was also made.

We look forward to the next exciting events to come.
