TV anime "Assassination Classroom," second season to start in January 2016! New visuals have been released!

The second season of the TV anime "Assassination Classroom" will begin airing in January 2016.




Assassination Classroom" is an anime work based on the manga (serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump) by Yuuki Matsui of "Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro" fame. The story follows a year in the life of "Kakushi Sensei," a homeroom teacher of "End no E class," a failing class of junior high school students with Mach 20 speed and enormous power who declares that he will destroy the earth, and his students who take on the "Kakushi Sensei assassination mission" to save the earth. The live-action film version, which was released on March 21, 2015, was a box-office hit, grossing over 2.5 billion yen, and a sequel is in the works. The second season of the anime version was also announced.

The second season will start airing in January 2016. The first visual has also been released. The first visual depicts the students in the classroom of Class 3E, planning a meticulous assassination plan for Kakusei. At the climax of the first season, the students showed their growth as they carried out a large-scale assassination plot on a southern island and won a fateful showdown with their former instructor, Takaoka. Expectations are high for what new developments await them in the second season.


The staff and cast will remain unchanged.
