Autumn New Anime Highlights] Vol. 4: "Tales to Remember" and "Everything Becomes F," and Other Autumn New Anime with Authentic Mysteries

The new fall anime are finally coming out, and there are quite a few of them this season. Akiba Research Institute (Anipota) has published "2015 Autumn Anime," a quick and comprehensive list of new fall anime, and as of September 16, a whopping 62 new titles have been picked up. For those who are at a loss as to which ones to watch, the main purpose of this series is to introduce noteworthy works by dividing them into each theme.


In this fourth installment of the series, we will take a look at the "mystery" series, which, unusually, will be aired in several anime series this fall. Perhaps it is because the long autumn nights are the best season to enjoy a real mystery that can be savored in-depth.

End Story

The final part of the trilogy of the final season of Ishin Nishio's <Monogatari> series will be the last in the series, "Tale to End" (OWARIMONOGATARI). As the final chapter of the series, the story reveals the identity of the series' protagonist, Koyomi Araragi, and the story that has not been told until now. The original novel is in the style of a mystery novel, and features a strong sense of mystery in the search for the culprit.
The film is directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and animated by Shaft, a well-known production team. The cast includes Kamiya Hiroshi as Araragi Koyomi, Mizuhashi Kaori as Oshino Sen, Inoue Marina as Oshikura Iku, and many others.

All will be F THE PERFECT INSIDER

The latest work for Fuji Television's "Noitamina" slot. Based on the mystery novel "Zenkutsu wa F ni naru" (All is F) by Hiroshi Mori, published by Kodansha Bunko in 1996. It has been adapted into a comic book and video game, and in 2014 it was made into a hit TV drama starring Emi Takei and Tsuyoshi Ayano.
Shiki Makada is a genius programmer who lives an isolated life in a laboratory on an isolated island. The story begins when Sohei Saikawa, an associate professor at a university, and Moe Nishinosono, a student, visit the isolated island to meet her and encounter a murder case. The anime will be based on the first series of the novels, "Everything Becomes F," as well as the subsequent "Four Seasons Series" in four volumes. Animation production is by A-1 Pictures.

Sakurako-san no Ashiwa ni Mita ni Buried Under the Foot of a Corpse

An anime adaptation of the Kadokawa Bunko mystery novel of the same title (written by Ota Shiori). The original series is so popular that it has sold over 600,000 copies in total. The story follows Sakurako Kujo, a young lady of exceptional beauty and style who loves to admire beautiful bones, and Shotaro Tatewaki, an ordinary high school student who is pushed around by her, as they become entangled in a case involving bones.
Animation production is by TROYCA of "Aldnoah Zero" and directed by "Pupipo! and "Aldnoah Zero," and series composition by Takayo Igami of "Rinrupingu Drum" and "Urikuma Arashi. Shizuka Ito has been cast as the main character, Sakurako Kujo.
