As of September 16, a whopping 62 new anime titles have been selected. For those who are at a loss as to which ones to watch, the main purpose of this series is to introduce noteworthy works by dividing them into each theme.

In this third installment of the series, we will take a look at the surprisingly large number of "new hero" anime this fall. The term "hero" can be defined in many different ways, but here we will introduce four works of heroes and battles in the broad sense of the word, including robot animation, that we would like to focus on.

For a detailed list of TV anime (fall anime) starting this fall, please check "2015 Fall Anime" here.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans

This is the latest work of the well-known "Mobile Suit Gundam" series. Last year, 2014 was the 35th anniversary of the first Gundam broadcast, and various Gundam works such as "Mobile Suit Gundam UC episode 7 "Beyond the Rainbow"", "Gundam G Reconguista", and "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin" were released. However, "Iron-Blooded Orphans" will be a work that will focus on the human drama of the boys, going back to the basics and changing the atmosphere from these works, and is expected to attract attention from Gundam fans and others alike.
The series will be directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and Mari Okada of "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai" fame, and the series composition will be written by Mari Okada. The mecha designs are by Naohiro Washio, Kanetake Ebikawa, and other well-known robot animation staff.

One-Punch Man

An anime adaptation of the comic of the same title (created by ONE and Yusuke Murata) serialized in "My Neighbor Young Jump" (published by Shueisha). Saitama, a man who started playing the hero as a hobby, has become so powerful that he can settle any strong enemy with a single punch. Will there ever come a day when the flat-out strongest hero, who has lost his passion and hair, can get serious!
Originally published as a webcomic on author ONE's website, the rumor spread by word-of-mouth and it became a popular work. When it was first published in "My Neighbor Young Jump," its popularity spread even further, and it has become a huge hit, with a total of more than 5 million copies of the comic in print. This work has a very unusual background, which is why expectations are high for the anime adaptation.
The animation is produced by "Ore Monogatari! and "Overlord" by MADHOUSE.

Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensetsu

This is an original animation produced by animation production company BONES, known for its many action anime productions such as "Fullmetal Alchemist" and "Bloodline". The director is Seiji Mizushima, who directed "Expelled from Paradise," which has a close relationship with Bonds, and the screenplay is by Noboru Aikawa, an ironclad tag team that has worked on popular Bonds works such as "Hagaren" and "Eureka Seven.
This work is set in a fictional Japan where all the "superhumans" that have been depicted in numerous fictions exist at the same time. The story centers on Jiro Hitoyoshi, a member of the Ministry of Health and Welfare's "Superhuman Section," and opens with a feast of various superhumans. What kind of new hero anime will be created by this iron-board tag team that has specialized in hero stories? I am very curious to find out.

Lance and Masks

An anime based on the light novel of the same title (written by Hideaki Koyasu) published by "Pony Canyon Books" (Pony Canyon). Hanabusa Hatoro, a descendant of a knighthood, is a masked hero with a "chivalrous constitution" who unknowingly helps women in a pinch. One day, Hatoro meets 6-year-old Kidoin Mao, who yearns to be a masked hero. Thus begins the mysterious shared life of a boy knight and a six-year-old girl....
The content is more of a romantic comedy than a hero story, but the staff includes Kyouhei Ishiguro, director of "April is Your Lie," and animation production by "Studio Gokumi," which has recently distinguished itself with such works as "Yuki Yuna wa Yusha de Iyusha" and "Kiniro Mosaic, The cast also includes the role of Yataro Hanabusa. The cast is also impressive, including Daiki Yamashita playing the role of Yataro Hanabusa and Arie Ozawa playing the role of Mao Kidoin.

In this "Autumn New Anime Spotlight" Vol. 4, we plan to introduce some of the "mystery" anime that will be of interest this fall. Please look forward to it!
