Vol.5 "Comet Lucifer", "Sample of a Commoner", and other fantasy and comedy anime

The new fall anime are finally coming out, and there are quite a few of them this season. Akiba Research Institute (Anipota) has published "2015 Autumn Anime," a quick and comprehensive list of new fall anime, and as of September 16, a whopping 62 new titles have been picked up. For those who are at a loss as to which one to watch, the main purpose of this series is to introduce noteworthy works by dividing them into each theme.

In this final installment of the series, we will take a look at the "fantasy anime" and "comedy anime" that will be aired this fall. There are surprisingly few works of this type in this fall's anime lineup, but that is why the titles have been carefully selected.

Comet Lucifer

This is the first original anime by "Eight Bit," an anime production company that has produced "IS (Infinite Stratos)," "Aquarion EVOL," and "Yamanosume.

The story is set on the planet Gift, a land covered with a shining blue ore, Giftium, where the boys' adventures begin. It is a science fiction fantasy with a worldview reminiscent of "Gurren Lagann" and "Psalms of Planets Eureka Seven".

The strong staff includes Yasuhito Kikuchi, director of "IS", Yuichi Nomura, who wrote the scripts for each episode of "Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN", and Tatsuya Kato, who wrote the music for "Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere".

35th Test Platoon of the Magic Academy

Fujimi Fantasia Bunko" (KADOKAWA) light novel of the same title (written by Fuyuki Yanagisane, illustrated by Kirikane) will be adapted into an anime this fall.

In a world 150 years after the "Witch Hunting War," Takeru attends the "Inquisition Academy," an institution for training "Inquisition Officers" to control the remaining magical threats. The 35th test platoon led by Takeru is a group of inferior students called a "small fry platoon." One day, however, the fate of the platoon begins to change drastically when Sakurabana, an elite gunfighter, joins the platoon.

Despite its orthodox "school + magic combat" setting, this work impresses viewers with the gradual growth of the boys and girls in the 35th Test Platoon. The animation is produced by SILVER LINK, which has worked on "Carefree" and "Yurikuma Arashi.

The Case That I Was Acquired by a Young Lady's School as a "Sample of the Common People".

An anime adaptation of the Ichijinsha Bunko light novel "Watashi ga Ojousama Gakko ni 'Shonin Samples' wo Getsu Watashi" (written by Takafumi Nanatsuki, illustrated by Gage Leapzuki).

One day, an ordinary high school student, Kimito Kagurazaka, is suddenly brought to Seika-in Girl's School, a super-ladylike school. All of the students are boxed in, having never been outside the world or seen a man of their own age. For these young ladies, commoners are the object of their admiration. This is a school harem romantic comedy in which the students suddenly find themselves irresistible to young ladies.

The charm of this work lies in the female characters that surround the main character. The characters include the tsuntsun loner, the perfect class chairman, a swordsmith who loves cute things, a genius little girl, a slutty maid, and an idol voice actress who has known the main character since childhood, making for a rich variety of characters. The animation is produced by SILVER LINK.

Dance with Devils

Dance with Devils" is an original animation work based on the Rejet original plan, which is a content production company for female audiences. It is a school musical anime that depicts the story of Akumas from the demon world and a girl, Ritsuka Ritsuka, who is enchanted by them, set in a school called Shihou Gakuen. In other words, it is a reverse harem for women, and is one of the most anticipated female-oriented anime of the current season.

Directed by Ai Yoshimura of "Ao Haride" fame, the series is composed by Tomoko Kanaharu of "Uta no Prince Sama," with music by Elements Garden, and the OP theme song is sung by Wataru Hatano, who also stars as Rikka Lindo. Animation production will be handled by "I knew my adolescent romantic comedy was wrong. Bokura wa Minna Kawai-so" and "One Week Friends. and "One Week Friends.
