Tokyo International Film Festival Gundam Special Screenings, Screening Schedule for All Films Determined!　Episode 7 of UC will be screened in 4D for the first time in Gundam history!

The 28th Tokyo International Film Festival will be held from October 22 to 31 at Roppongi Hills and other venues. Last year, the festival attracted attention with the "The World of Hideaki Anno" special program, and this year, the screening schedule for the "Mobile Suit Gundam," a masterpiece that is a milestone in robot animation, has been released. The highlight is the first 4D screening in the festival's history and the first in Gundam history, "Mobile Suit Gundam UC episode 7: Beyond the Rainbow" will be screened in MX4D*, a screening style that just started service in April 2015, in which images and seating (movement, water, wind, light, scent, smoke, etc.) are linked together. This time, based on the production plan from the "Mobile Suit Gundam UC" production team, the 4D conversion is being carried out at the U.S. headquarters.

The attraction-type 4D theater was developed by MediaMation, Inc. of the U.S. and is being developed in Japan by Sony Business Solutions Corporation. The seats in the auditorium move back and forth, left and right, and up and down according to the movie scene, and 11 special effects that stimulate the five senses, such as wind, mist, scent, strobe, smoke, and vibration, are linked to the movie. The audience can experience an "attraction-type movie-viewing style" that cannot be experienced in a regular theater.

Tickets for each film will go on sale at ticket board on October 10. In addition to the 1,300 yen flat fee for the special screening "Gundam and Its World," an additional 1,200 yen will be charged for the 4D version.
