THE NEXT GENERATION PATLABOR" is a live-action version of the classic anime "Mobile Police Patlabor," and the 8th guest of "Mamoru's Room" will be Yoshiko Sakakibara and Ryusuke Obayashi.

Starting with the first chapter (episodes 0-1) on April 5, 2014, the seventh and final chapter (episode 12 "The Great Legacy") will be screened on January 10, 2015. The director's cut version of the feature-length theatrical version, which includes 27 minutes of previously unreleased footage, will be released on October 10, and the 8th edition of the talk event "Mamoru's Room," hosted by Mamoru Oshii, the general director of the film, will be held. The guests for the 8th event were Yoshiko Sakakibara, who also appeared in the film as Shinobu Nagumo, and Ryusuke Obayashi, who played Kiichi Goto, the shadowy main character who does not appear in the live-action version but continues to have a major impact. Both of them played platoon leaders of the Special Vehicle Section 2, but this will be the first time they will appear together at a "PATLABOR" related event, so a very intense talk is expected to take place, including with Mr. Oshii.
