This time, the song is more mature and feminine - TRUE's new single "Dear answer" is here!

TRUE has continued to have a strong 2015 with the release of "ailes," the ED theme song for "Junjyo no Maria" and "DREAM SOLISTER," the OP theme song for "Hibike! The third single of the year is the opening theme song for "Sakurako-san no Atasama ni Shita ni Buried Under the Dead Body", a new anime adaptation of the popular mystery novel "Sakurako-san no Atasama ni Shita ni Buried Under the Dead Body". The third single this year is the opening theme for "Sakurako-san no Atasobi ni Buried Under the Foot of a Corpse. This time around, TRUE is a mature woman's charm!

We asked Director Kato directly about her thoughts on "Sakurako-san~"!

─ Your new single "Dear answer" is the opening theme for the TV anime "Sakurako-san no Ashiwa ni Mushita ni Buried Dead Bodies.

TRUE I am honored to be in charge of the opening theme for another TV anime. This time, I met with director Makoto Kato, who directly told me about his thoughts on "Sakurako-san~," and that is how the production process began. As a lyricist, Miho Karasawa, and as an artist, TRUE, I had never had such close discussions with a director before, so my feelings for the work and the heroine, Sakurako Kujo, naturally grew stronger.

What was your impression of "Sakurako-san"?

TRUE The original work was interesting and I read through it very quickly. Sakurako is a fascinating protagonist and I really liked the world view she had. The director said that if Shotaro is the yang, Sakurako is the yin, and he wanted me to write the music with that in mind. He told me a lot about how he felt about Sakurako, so it was like I had to take that on my shoulders and write the music.

─ You composed the music, didn't you, Mr. Masato Nakayama?

TRUE This time, it was very difficult to decide on Mr. Nakayama's music. We listened to many songs together with the producer and director, and in fact, once we almost decided on a different song, and even went so far as to write the lyrics and record a tentative song, but we could not all agree on it. It was a beautiful song, but it didn't feel right in terms of a song that would fit the world of the work and be sung by TRUE. Then, at the last minute, we came across Mr. Nakayama's song, and we unanimously agreed, "This is it! I can't really explain it in words. I can't really explain it in words, but it felt like I had found a song that really fit my feeling.

─ ─ With the world view of "Sakurako-san", I expected that a medium opening song would be possible. But Mr. Nakayama's music is up-tempo.

TRUE The tempo is certainly fast, but I felt that it is not a song that tries to convey something with great momentum, but a melodious song that takes its time to weave its words. Therefore, rather than singing with a strong voice, I tried to make the vocals flow with the words.

─ ─ I felt an adult atmosphere in the vocals this time. I felt the vocals in this song have an adult feel to them, and that overlaps perfectly with the image of Sakurako, the heroine of the song.

TRUE I was very conscious of making the song more mature than the previous TRUE songs. The previous song "DREAM SOLISTER" was a very adolescent song, so you may feel a gap between the two.
